Samson Tijani has joined Red Bull Salzburg from SC Collins Edwin until 31st of May 2025.
The former Golden Eaglets captain joined the Austrian League champions from Nigerian club SC Collins Edwin on a five year contract.
The 14-time Austrian League champions confirmed the signing in a statement on their official website and described Samson Tijani with the right superlatives.
The 18-year-old was described as a midfielder who feels most comfortable in a holding midfield position and stands out, above all, for his dynamic and uncompromising playing style.
He has proved his quality in ten performances for his home country’s U17 team, who he captained to a place in the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations and last 16 of the World Cup.
Samson Tijani has joined Salzburg who are one of the best clubs producing youngsters to top European clubs. Their recent exports are Erling Braut Håland, Takumi Minamino and Hwang Hee-chan to Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and RB Leipzig respectively.
