Super Eagles players Samuel Chukwueze and Kelechi Nwakali were united in Spain on Sunday in a La Liga clash between Villarreal and Huesca.
Samuel Chukwueze was in action for Villarreal while Kelechi Nwakali was on for the newly promoted Huesca at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
The newly promoted Huesca scored the first goal of the game when Pablo Maffeo scored in the first half before Gerard Moreno converted a second half penatly for the equalizer.
Samuel Chukwueze was heavily involved in all that Villarreal did leading to the goal and after for the winning goal but they didn’t get the winning goal.
He was in fact, rated 7.0 by sofascore with just Francis Coquelin 7.2, Moi Gomez 7.2 and goalscorer Gerard Moreno 8.2 the only Villarreal players with better ratings.
Kelechi Nwakali was introduced in the second half and he played for 28 minutes. The former Arsenal player also gave a good account of himself.
He was also rated 6.5 and was deployed in the attacking midfield role.
Seeing both players on the pitch brought back the memories of what they did both did alongside Victor Osimhen when Nigeria won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015.
