Sanchez wanted to cancel Man Utd contract and return to Arsenal after his first training

Alexis Sanchez has said he wanted to cancel his Manchester United contract return to Arsenal after his first training at the club.

The former Barcelona forward joined Manchester United in January 2018 in player exchange deal that took Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal.

Sanchez had many options on the table a reunion with Pep Guardiola was one of the options but he joined Manchester United instead.

“Since I was a young lad I’ve always said that my dream was to play for Manchester United,” Sanchez said om his unveiling.

“And I’m not just saying that because I’m here now and today it’s come true.

“I always said as a kid that I’d like to play for United and I once spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about it.

“We chatted for around 20 minutes. And I told him that my dream was to come here to Manchester United,” Sanchez revealed.

But the Chilean has now made a u-turn after exposing during an Instagram video that he wanted out of Manchester United after his first training.

“After the first training session, I realised many things and when I got back home, I told my agent if I could cancel the contract and go back to Arsenal.”

Alexis Sanchez was paid £350k a week during his time at Manchester United, in fact, they paid part of his salary during his 2019-20 loan spell at Inter Milan.

He has signed a three-year contract with Inter Milan after Manchester United released him.
