Serbian players wary of Super Eagles threat ahead of Tuesday friendly

Two Serbian players have confirmed that The Orlovi are wary of Super Eagles strength and talents ahead of Tuesday friendly.

Anderlecht’s Serbia international defender Ivan Obradović and PAOK striker Aleksandar Prijović have both warned their teammates to be wary of physically dominant Nigeria when they lock horns on Tuesday’s international friendly.

Ivan Obradović who was on the pitch for 12 minutes in Serbia’s 2-1 loss to Morroco on Friday, maintained that the Super Eagles are a good side full of talented players capable of beating any team after beating and are favorite because of their victory Argentina.

“In November, the Nigerians beat Argentina. They are a physically dominant team with a lot of talented players and it will not be easy,” Obradovic was quoted as saying by Blic Sport.

“It is clear that this will be another good test and opportunity to see at what level we are.

“Of course, we will use the opportunity to work on some things. I have no dilemma that these two matches are good tests.”

His teammate and PAOK striker Aleksandar Prijović echoed the statements of Obradovic, saying the Nigerians are a physical side but it’s important for Serbia to win after losing to Morocco.

He said : “Nigeria is a national team that deserves a respect, its players are physically strong and the next match will definitely be a good test for us. We will do everything to win, we will give the maximum to score better than in the previous match.

“The outcome of such matches is not primary, because it is important to correct some things. It is important for us to win.”

On Tuesday at The Hive, Canons Park, The Orlovi of Serbia and The Super Eagles will clash at 8pm.
