Sered 2 Nitra 1: Adekuoroye’s strike settles mid-table clash in Slovakia

Bankole Adekuoroye scored the winning goal as SKF Sered beat Nitra 2-1 at the Peter Ziemba Stadium on Saturday in their Slovakia Fortuna Liga matchday 10 clash.

Bankole Adekuoroye’s deflected strike in the first half and his late mi ute strike helped SKF Sered complete a comeback win to settle the mid-table battle.

The visitors drew the first blood through Tomas Vestenicky in the 6th minutes of the game.

The hosts equalized in the 39th minutes of the game when Bankole Adekuoroye’s strike was deflected in by Nitra’s defender Richard Krizan in the 39th minutes of the game.

Bankole Olawale Adekuoroye popped up in the 88th minutes to score the winning goal after a great play by Nikola Gataric had created the goal.

Bankole Adekuoroye has now scored a goal for Sered for the first time since he scored in their 2-1 away loss to Zilina back in August.

Sered have leapfrogged Nitra into the 7th position with 13 points while Nitra dropped to 8th with 13 points from 10 games played thus far in the 12-club Slovakia top league.

Taiwo Abdulrahman was on for the entire duration for Nitra on Saturday.
