SGA reaches 100 Game 20 Point Streak
Shai Gilgeous Alexander Hits 100 Straight Games With 20 Points
Shai Gilgeous Alexander scored 31 points in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 119 to 103 win over the Memphis Grizzlies to record his 100th consecutive NBA game with at least 20 points.
The performance made him only the second player in league history to reach the milestone, joining Wilt Chamberlain. Chamberlain remains the record holder with 126 straight games of 20 points or more, set between 1961 and 1963.
Gilgeous Alexander’s streak has spanned multiple seasons and includes regular season games only. It has been built without relying heavily on three point shooting, with much of his scoring coming from drives, mid range shots, and free throws.
No active NBA player is currently close to matching the run. Other high volume scorers such as Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid have had extended streaks of 20 point games, but none have reached or approached the 100 game mark.
The streak has come during Oklahoma City’s rise in the Western Conference, with Gilgeous Alexander leading the team in scoring while maintaining availability and consistency.
With Chamberlain’s 126 game record now in sight, Gilgeous Alexander’s streak continues to stand as one of the rarest scoring achievements in modern NBA history.
