Shaibu hails Bendel Insurance FC after CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round win
Edo State Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Phillip Shaibu has hailed Bendel Insurance FC for their penalty shoot-out CAF Confederation Cup win over Aso Chlef.
Nigeria’s CAF Confederation Cup representatives Bendel Insurance FC were beaten 1-0 in Algiers in the second leg, a result that levelled the aggregate score at 1-1.
An excited Shaibu took to his social media handle with congratulatory message for the Benin Arsenal, a team he once represented as a player before retiring in 2022.
Shaibu wrote ” Congratulations to our darling team Bendel Insurance FC Official for a quality performance and for securing a spot in the 2nd Preliminary Round of the 2023/2024 CAF Confedration Cup.
