Shanghai SIPG 2 Midtjylland 2: Babajide David marks his return with a brace

Nigerian striker, Babajide David scored two goals as the 2018 Danish champions played a 2-2 draw against Chinese Super League champions Shanghai SIPG in a club friendly match on Saturday.

The 23 year old striker who was one of the four Nigerian players in the starting line up of Midtjylland got the nodd despite just returning back to his parent club after spending the last year on loan at FK Haugesund.

He drew his side level in the 32nd minute of the game after Shanghai SIPG had taken the lead in the 20th minute.

Babajide David increased nis tally to two to give Midtjylland the lead in the 43rd minute of the game.

He was subbed off in the 46 minute for Gustav.

While he and other Nigerian players were out subbed of, Shanghai SIPG got a well deserved equalizer in the 67th minute.

Ayo Simon Okosun, Frank Onyeka and Paul Onuachu were the other Nigerian born players who played alongside Babajide David for Midtylland in the game.

Babaji David who contributed 9 goals in 30 league games for Haugesund in the just concluded Norwegian top flight league will help Midtjylland fight for the title.

With just6 games to go Midtjylland trail Copenhagen with three points as both teams for the Danish Super League title.
