Simeone named coach of the year – Klopp, Ranieri & Pitso make top 10

Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has been named the coach of the year by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).

The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) is an organization that chronicles the history and records of association football.

Diego Simeone whose Atletico Madrid side lost in penalty shootout to Zinedine Zidane Real Madrid in last season Champions League final edged the French man out with five points, 113 to 108, thanks to experts from 56 countries all over the world who chose the Atletico coach.

There were places in the top 10 for Claudio Ranieri and Pitso Mosimane who led Leicester City and Mamelodi Sundowns to surprise Premier League and CAF Champions League title respectively.
