Simy scores first Serie A goal of the season in Crotone loss

Super Eagles striker Simy Nwankwo has opened his goal account for the season after scoring in Crotone’s 4-1 loss to Sassuolo on Saturday.

The lanky striker whose goals powered Crotone back into the Italian top flight league finally found the back of the net in his third game of the season.

After firing blank in Crotone’s 4-1 loss to Genoa and 2-0 loss to Milan in their first two games, he was third time lucky at the Mapei Stadium on Saturday.

Simy scored from the spot kick for Crotone’s equalizer but the strike wasn’t enough as Sassoulo scored three more goals to condemn Crotone to their third loss of the season.
