Six men beat Danny Drinkwater until he broke his ankle for seducing another player’s girlfriend
Danny Drinkwater was on the receiving end of a brutal assault in Manchester after his attempts to seduce another footballer’s girlfriend went wrong.
The Burnley player, on loan from Chelsea, had spent a considerable amount of time chatting up Scunthorpe United defender Ngosi Ntlhe’s girlfriend.
Ntlhe and the girl did inform Drinkwater of their relationship, to which he replied: “I don’t care mate, she’s coming home with me.”
As many as six men then attacked him, using a blunt object as a weapon. Some of the men shouted “break his legs” and even jumped on his ankle.
“It was incredibly nasty with blood everywhere,” The Sun report a source as saying.
“At one point he was curled up in a ball on the ground as they repeatedly jumped up and down on his ankle and shouting, ‘break his legs’.
“They knew he was a Premier League star and it was his livelihood. There was blood everywhere.”
Drinkwater decided not to report the incident, and he’ll be sidelined for about a month after suffering torn ankle ligaments
