Smashing Kobe´s record means nothing to LeBron

LeBron James made sure he did not steal any attention from Kobe Bryant in the Los Angeles Lakers star’s final All-Star Game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers forward set a new record for career points scored in All-Star Games, scoring 13 in Toronto on Sunday to pass the all-time mark previously held by Bryant.

James, playing in his 12th All-Star Game, now has 291 career points in the showcase game.

Bryant, an 18-time All-Star, came into the weekend with 280 career points and scored 10 more to give him a total of 290 for his career.

But James downplayed the accomplishment afterward.

“It means absolutely nothing,” James told reporters. “I’m just blessed to be a part of All-Star Weekend.”

He added: “The scoring has never meant nothing to me.”
