Solskjaer says De Gea should have saved Mount’s goal
Manchester United boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer has blamed David De Gea for Chelsea’s second goal in their 3-1 FA Cup defeat at Wembley on Sunday.
Olivier Giroud, Mason Mount and Harry Maguire put Chelsea up before Bruno Fernandes scored a consolation from the spot kick for a 3-1 scoreline.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer who saw his side completely outplayed by Chelsea said his players have to do more going forward.
The Norwegian, however, singled out his Spanish goalkeeper for his error saying he should have saved the ball.
“Obviously everyone has to perform. Everyone has a chance to stake a place in team. David knows he should have saved second goal. But that’s done now. It’s hard for a keeper to make amends.
“I can’t speak about David’s confidence, he is mentally strong but he knows he should save that 100 times out of a 100.”

The former Manchester United player also gave an update on Eric Bailly who was was injured during the clash.
“He is in the hospital undergoing all the routine checks and all the protocols. He also had a cut on the back of his head, I don’t know more, I didn’t talked to the doctor again. ”
Manchester United now focus in their last two games as they fight to secure a top four finish.
There next clash is an home game against West Ham United on Wednesday.
