South Africa to arrive Abuja on Monday for Super Falcons clash

The Banyana Banyana of South Africa are gearing up for their upcoming 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Nigeria, with plans to travel to Abuja next week Monday.

Under the guidance of coach Desiree Ellis, the South African team commenced their preparations for the crucial fourth-round contest at the Tuks High-Performance Centre (HPC) in Pretoria earlier this week.

The players and coaching staff are scheduled to depart from Pretoria on Monday and arrive in Abuja on the same day. Additionally, they will be joined by their foreign-based counterparts upon their arrival in Nigeria.

The first leg of the qualifier is set to take place on April 5th, with South Africa facing Nigeria on their home turf. The return fixture will see the traditional rivals clash at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on April 9th, 2024.

The outcome of this qualifier will determine which team advances to compete in Group C at the Paris Games.
