Accolades keep pouring in for Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi after he put up a wonderful display in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool in a Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Super Eagles attacker who was on the pitch for 28 minutes was a complete package for Unai Emery’s side has they avoided a home loss to continue their push for a top-four finish.
Liverpool went ahead in the 61st minutes through James Milner but Alex Iwobi’s pass that cut through 7 Liverpool players set Alexandre Lacazette up for Arsenal’s equalizer in the 82nd minutes.
The highlight of Alex Iwobi’s amazing display wasn’t just about the goal he assisted and the manner, but going full Claude Makelele and Ronaldinho mood was something of note. So much that South African legend who himself turned up for Premier League clubs such as Tottenham and Everton commended the 22-year attacker.
