Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres has rejected the chance to join Manchester United this summer, SportsRation reports.
According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Gyokeres’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has informed United that his client does not want to reunite with manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford next season.
The Sweden international worked under Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.
Gyokeres, 27, had a brilliant season, scoring 54 goals in 52 matches for the Portuguese side.
Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing the striker this summer.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has urged his old club to go for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen instead of Gyokeres.
United are looking for more attacking options after a poor 2025/26 season.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggled in front of goal, as United finished 15th in the Premier League.
