Spurs beat Cavs to maintain perfect home record, Curry stars as Warriors beat Lakers and Butler scores 53

The San Antonio Spurs preserved their 100 per cent record on home court after seeing off the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-95 in the NBA on Thursday.

Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard starred for the in-form Spurs, who extended their winning streak to 10 overall and 32 at home.

Parker posted 24 points, while Leonard contributed 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Spurs snapped the Cavaliers’ run of eight consecutive victories.

The Cavs were led by LeBron James (22 points) and Tristan Thompson (18 points, 14 rebounds).

Jimmy Butler almost singlehandedly helped the Chicago Bulls past the Philadelphia 76ers 115-111 in overtime.

Butler had a career-high 53 points as the Bulls rallied to end a three-game losing streak.

“I was just shooting the ball,” Butler said. “I just kept being aggressive, taking the shots the defense was giving me.”

The Golden State Warriors returned to winning ways, downing the Los Angeles Lakers 116-98.

Steph Curry inspired the champions with a game-high 26 points in Oakland.

Outside of the United States, the Toronto Raptors needed overtime to overcome the Orlando Magic 106-103 in London.

Kyle Lowry’s 24 points helped the Raptors to an international win and their fourth successive victory, while Victor Oladipo scored 27 points for the Magic.

Mario Chalmers made a jumper with less than a second remaining as the Memphis Grizzlies prevailed 103-101 against the Detroit Pistons, and the Sacramento Kings beat the Utah Jazz by the same scoreline.
