Spurs break Bulls record, Warriors win as Raptors claim record franchise win
The San Antonio Spurs set an NBA record for most home wins to start a season with a 100-92 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Manu Ginobili had a game-high 20 points and got plenty of support from Kawhi Leonard (16 points), Danny Green (16) and LaMarcus Aldridge (11) at the AT&T Center.
With the win, the Spurs improved to 38-0 at home, breaking the record previously held by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.
Those Bulls are also in danger of losing their 72-win record after the Golden State Warriors clinched their 68th of the season.
The Warriors needed overtime to edge the Utah Jazz 103-96, becoming the sixth team to win 68 games in a single campaign.
Stephen Curry (31 points) and Klay Thompson (18) again led the way, with the latter hitting a three to send it to OT.
The Toronto Raptors claimed 50 wins in an NBA season for the first time, beating the Atlanta Hawks 105-97.
The Memphis Grizzlies suffered their fourth-straight loss, going down to the Denver Nuggets 109-105.
The Dallas Mavericks rallied past the New York Knicks 91-89 to remain in the play-off hunt, and the Milwaukee Bucks overcame the Phoenix Suns 105-94.
The Sacramento Kings beat the Washington Wizards 120-111, and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat 102-100 after OT.
