Spurs win again at home, James’ Cavs thrashed by Blazers

The San Antonio Spurs rolled to a comfortable 101-86 win over the Denver Nuggets in the NBA on Saturday.

Kawhi Leonard’s 20 points helped the Spurs to a 17th straight win at their AT&T Center home to start this season.

The Spurs improved to 26-6 thanks to Leonard and an even contribution, with Boris Diaw (16 points) and Tony Parker (13) helping.

Nikola Jokic had a game-high 22 points for the Nuggets.

The Portland Trail Blazers made a flying start on their way to a 105-76 thrashing of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Allen Crabbe had a game-high 26 points, while LeBron James struggled – going four-of-13 from the field for his 12 points.

The Philadelphia 76ers claimed just their second win of the season, upsetting the Phoenix Suns 111-104.

Even without Blake Griffin, the Los Angeles Clippers still managed a 109-104 win over the Utah Jazz.

John Wall’s double-double of 22 points and 13 assists helped the Washington Wizards to a fourth straight win as they overcame the Brooklyn Nets 111-96.

Dwyane Wade (24 points) and Chris Bosh (24) combined to see the Miami Heat to a 108-101 victory over the Orlando Magic.

Anthony Davis starred for the New Orleans Pelicans, leading his team to a 110-108 win against the Houston Rockets with 24 points and 13 rebounds.

The Toronto Raptors eased past the Milwaukee Bucks 111-90 and the Charlotte Hornets rallied for a 98-92 win against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Indiana Pacers scored 36 fourth-quarter points in a 102-88 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the slumping Chicago Bulls went down to the Dallas Mavericks 118-111.

The Atlanta Hawks were too good for the New York Knicks 117-98 and the Boston Celtics held on to beat the Detroit Pistons 99-93.
