Sqaush OOSA2018: Nigeria’s No3 Kehinde Samuel Wants To Win Championship

Nigeria’s number 5, Kehinde Samuel of Ogun state is looking forward to the 1st Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Open Squash Championship in Abeokuta.

The player who is seeded No.3 while speaking to sportsration.com said he is confident of winning the championship. 

“My main target is to win this tournament, I have been training for this and I hope God help me to actualise my set target” Samuel said. 

Asked if he has a threat from any player on winning the championship, Samuel opined, “Everyone is looking forward to winning this tournament, so I am not under any pressure and no one is a threat to me. 

He gave kudos to the Squash federation for putting the Championship together while urging them to do more,  “The association are trying their best and it’s developing, lot of tournament going on and springing up but they can still do more”. 

“The state of squash for me is poor, not so much tournaments to look forward to and his affecting the players performance in terms of experience and exposure”. 

“I was looking forward to the National Sport Festival but it’s so sad that Squash won’t be a part”, he concluded.
 
The championship runs from the 13th, August to 18th, 2018 at the OOPL Squash Court in Abeokuta Ogun State
