Squash: NSF President, Boye Oyerinde Thumbs Up 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open

The President of Nigeria Squash Federation, Boye Oyerinde says he is delighted with the level of competition witnessed at the 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open tournament in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The tournament which was won by Onaopemipo Adegoke in mens category, Rofiat Abdulazeez in womens finals, Mustapha Habeeb in U19 boys and Aminat Musa in the U19 girls was staged at the OOPL squash court in Abeokuta over the weekend.

In an interview with sportsration.com the president expressed his satisfaction.

“The level of play exhibited by the players were amazing, the players played really well. Yes, there is a lot of work to do at the lower level but at the senior level, the sky is the limit for the boys”, Mr Boye said.

On the country’s reparation for the world championship, the president opined: “It depends on your definition of standing a chance, it’s going to be our first time of participating in 20years and we want to register our presence and I’m sure the boys will do us great”

“There is a lot to do, this is a work in process and the board is working together to ensure that we leave the best when we eventually hand over the leadership mantle”, he concluded on the performance of the squash body.

The 2nd Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Squash Open was a PSA tournament.
