Squash OOSA 2018: Nobody Is A Threat To Me Says Nigeria No.3 Abel Shedrack 

Nigeria’s number 3, Abel Shedrack has open up on his hopes for the upcoming Chief Olusegun Obasanjo National Open Squash Championship in Abeokuta.

The Ogun State born player who is seeded No.3 while speaking to sportsration.com said he doesn’t feel anyone is his threat as he hopes to win the championship. 

“It’s normal for you to have threat at tournaments, but I don’t like letting it out to people, when I get into the court, I play my game without fear and to my best knowledge. As it stands, nobody is a threat to me”. Abel said. 

“My main aim is to win this tournament but due to circumstances present now, let’s just hope for the best from God. My present form.. I think I can do far better than my expectations”. 

On performing well at the Championship, Abel revealed “At my last tournament, the Lagos Intl Classic where I lost in the qualifying round to a foreign player and the Lagos league too, where I went all the way to the final, with that form.. I believe I can perform well at this Squash Open”. 

He gave kudos to the Squash federation for putting the Championship together, “The association are trying their best and it’s developing, lot of tournament going on and springing up but they can still do more”. He concluded.
 
The championship runs from 13th August to 18th at the OOPL Squash Court in Abeokuta Ogun State.
