Squash OOSA2018: Nigeria’s no2 Abdulrahaman Lanre wins championship 

Abdulrahaman Lanre of Lagos state has emerged as the men’s champion of the 1st chief olusegun obasanjo national squash open championship at the OOPL Squash court in Abeokuta. 
Playing in front of dignitaries which included the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and with close to 2hours of exciting rallies, drop shots, cross count and all Lanre, who is Nigeria’s no2 won 3-1 (11-3, 8-11, 11-4, 11-8) over Garba Enimakure. 

In the women’s category Yemisi Olatunji of Lagos showed why she is Nigeria’s no1 by easily dispatching Rofiat Abdulazeez, 3-0  (11-9, 11-8, 11-1) to crown the women’s champion. 

Adegoke Onaopemipo of Lagos state in the U19 boys category stroll past Desmond Iguodola of Headwaters Academy, 3-0 in 15-13, 12-10, 11-4 to win the title. 
For the U19 girls, it was Odunade Adeyi of Kwara State, who defeated Dahood Kudirat 3-1 (11-4, 8-11, 11-6, 11-2) to emerge winner of the 1st Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Ntional Squash Open Championship for the U19 Girl’s category. 

The tournament was a week long event which saw participant from Lagos, Ogun, Kwara, Edo, Delta and Ondo participant at the OOPL squash court in Abeokuta.
