Standard Liege 1 Mouscron 1: It’s 6 in 7 for red-hot Taiwo Awoniyi

We are now used to Taiwo Awoniyi scoring spectacular goals week in week out. He has kickstarted our week by scoring another beauty for his Belgian outfit, Mouscron.

The Liverpool loanee who scored all the goals his sides last two games has found the back of the net again on Friday to ensure he has scored in his last four games for Mouscron.

Taiwo Awoniyi helped Royal Excel Mouscron played a 1-1 draw against Standard Liege at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne on Friday.

Standard Liege took the lead in the 54th minute but Taiwo Awoniyi equalized for the visitors in the 60th minute with a spectacular strike.

Awoniyi raced into a pass and finish with his left foot from a tight angle for his goal.

Since Taiwo Awoniyi joined Mouscron on loan from Liverpool he has now scored 6 goals from 7 games failing to score only in Mouscron 3-0 home win against Charleroi.

In fact, out of 14 goals scored by Royal Excel Mouscron since he joined them, he has scored 6 goals and assisted a goal, meaning he has contributed 50% of the goals scored by his club.
