Star Sixes: Del Piero wary of Okocha and Nigeria
Italy World Cup hero Alessandro Del Piero who will captain his country at Star Sixes at The O2 this July is wary of the threat Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and Nigeria would pose.
The Juventus legend, who won the Champions League and six Serie A titles during his 19-year stay with the Turin giants, told Sky Sports he his wary of Nigeria and the talents in their squad.
“They are talented of course just as Brazil but we will see what happens when we play them.”
Italy, Nigeria, Brazil and China are in the same group for the inaugural six-a-side tournament for the former internationals, which will be staged in London from 13 to 16 July.
Italy’s opening game at The O2 will be a huge match-up with Brazil, who will have Roberto Carlos in their side, on Thursday 13 July while Nigeria led by Jay Jay Okocha will face China.
