Steph Curry Falls Short of 4,000 Three-Pointers in Warriors Win
On Monday night, NBA fans watched as the Golden State Warriors took on the Portland Trail Blazers, with all eyes on Stephen Curry. Curry was just seven three-pointers away from making history as the first NBA player to reach 4,000 career three-pointers.
While the Warriors won 130-120, securing their fifth straight victory, Curry didn’t manage to reach the milestone.
Steph Curry’s Performance in the Game
Curry made five out of eleven three-point attempts in the win. In the last eight minutes of the game, he needed just two more to hit 4,000, but missed his final four attempts. However, his fourth three-pointer of the night brought his season total to 250, marking the 11th time he’s reached that milestone, the most in NBA history. The 36-year-old finished the game with 24 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Curry’s Career Three-Pointer Count
Currently, Curry has made 3,998 career three-pointers. He continues to extend his record as the all-time leader in three-pointers, a record he first set on December 14, 2021, when he passed Ray Allen’s previous record of 2,974.
What’s Next for Curry?
Curry is now on the verge of becoming the first NBA player to make 4,000 career three-pointers. He was also the first to reach 3,000 career three-pointers. James Harden of the Los Angeles Clippers is currently second on the list with 3,117 three-pointers.
