Stephen Curry Signs Landmark 10-Year Li-Ning Deal After Under Armour Exit

Four-time NBA champion calls new partnership ‘the partnership of a lifetime’ as Curry Brand enters a new global era

Stephen Curry has officially entered a new chapter off the court after signing a landmark 10-year partnership with Chinese sportswear giant Li-Ning following the end of his long-running relationship with Under Armour.

The Golden State Warriors superstar announced the agreement on social media, describing the move as “the partnership of a lifetime” and outlining an ambitious vision for the future of Curry Brand.

The deal ends months of speculation surrounding Curry’s sneaker free agency after he parted ways with Under Armour in November 2025 following more than a decade with the brand. During the 2025-26 NBA season, Curry wore a variety of different shoe brands before ultimately choosing Li-Ning as the next home for his growing business empire.

According to multiple reports, the 10-year agreement will expand Curry Brand globally and includes basketball footwear, apparel, athleisure products, a dedicated golf line, and the ability for Curry to sign athletes under his own brand.

“This is bigger than a shoe deal, bigger than a signature series,” Curry said in a promotional video announcing the partnership. “This is the partnership of a lifetime.”

The four-time NBA champion also praised Li-Ning founder Li Ning, the former Olympic gymnast whose company has grown into one of Asia’s largest sportswear brands with more than 7,600 retail locations across the region.

“It’s amazing to see how he’s grown his namesake company as an athlete founder,” Curry said. “I have those same hopes and aspirations for Curry Brand.”

While social media posts have circulated figures claiming the deal could be worth more than $1 billion, no major news organization has independently confirmed the financial value of the agreement. Reuters, Associated Press and other leading outlets have confirmed the existence and scope of the deal, but not a specific dollar amount.

The agreement represents one of the biggest business moves of Curry’s career and further strengthens his position as one of the most influential athletes in global sports.

Since entering the NBA in 2009, Curry has transformed basketball with his revolutionary shooting ability, winning four NBA championships, two MVP awards and becoming the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers made.

Now, at 38, the Warriors star is looking beyond basketball and toward building a lasting global brand.

For Li-Ning, securing Curry’s signature is a major coup. The company already boasts NBA stars such as Jimmy Butler and Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade among its most prominent ambassadors.

For Curry, the move signals something even bigger, the opportunity to take Curry Brand worldwide and build a business legacy that could extend long after his playing days come to an end.
