Sturm Graz 1 Ajax 3 (Agg 1-5): Emeka Eze fires blank as the Blackies crash out

There was nothing Emeka Eze Friday could do to rescue his side from going down at Merkur Arena on Wednesday.

A goal either half from Klass-Jan Huntelaar and Dusan Tadic goak ensured Ajax beat Emeka Friday’s Sturm Graz 3-1 and 5-1 on aggregate to earn the Dutch club a place in the the Champions League third round draw.

Emeka Friday who started the game just as he did in in the first leg played alongside Hossnier Phillips upfront but failed to hit ths back of the net.

Emeka Friday and his teammates will now continue their European club football campaign in the Europa League after their elimination.
