Sunday Faleye joins Austrian top flight club FC Wacker

Austrian club FC Wacker Innsbruck today announced the signing of CHAN Eagles winger Sunday Faleye.

The 20-year-old Faleye has signed a contract of two years with an option for an additional year.

Innsbruck sports director Alfred Hörtnagl said : “With Sunday (Faleye), we managed to get a very interesting and talented player.

“In training and the test match against Dynamo Dresden, he showed where his strengths lie. He is a fast player with qualities in one-on-one situations and great going forward.

“We are very happy that we were able to get Sunday to be part of our new project.”

Faleye previously featured for another Austrian club Altach with a view to signing a professional contract with them after he underwent an elbow surgery.

Last season, Innsbruck were relegated to the lower league from the Bundesliga.

They hope to rebuild with exciting young talent like Faleye to return to the top league in no time.
