Super Eagles move 12 places in new FIFA rankings but remain 3rd in Africa

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved places in the latest FIFA rankings.

Eagles are now 33rd best football nation according to the new rankings released today but still the 3rd best nation in Africa.

Super Eagles good outing at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations must have played a big role where Nigeria eliminated the defending champions, Cameroon and noisy Bafana Bafana of South Africa although they fell to Riyad Mahrez late freekick in the semis.

Eagles 33, moved 12 places in World rankings. Losing finalist Senegal maintained their top position while the 2019 AFCON winners, Algeria are 40th in the world having moved 40 places.

Belgium remained the best in the world.
