Super Eagles need a stable technical crew – Kenneth Omeruo says amidst ‘ crazy ‘ situation
Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has said it was important to have a stable technical crew for the team amidst crazy situation ahead of Sao Tome and Principe clash.
Omeruo who captained the Nigeria Super Eagles team in the last two games said it was ‘ crazy ‘ that the team is without a coach with days to it’s next game, an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game vs Sao Tome and Principe on September 8.
” When it comes to talent , Nigeria has amazing players, ” Omeruo told ARISE TV.
” Even those who are on the bench for the national team go to their clubs and bang goals week in , week out .
” We need to have a stable technical crew. A technical crew that will take us to where we are supposed to be and give us what we get in Europe.
” We do not even know who will be the coach in the next game, it is crazy and it has to be fixed, ” Omeruo said.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced it has offered Jose Peseiro a new contract and will appoint an Interim Coach for the Super Eagles if he doesn’t accept the new proposal which includes a reduced wage.
Nigeria will host Sao Tome and Principe in the last 2023 AFCON qualifier on September 8 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
