Super Eagles Set to Begin AFCON Qualifying Preparations in Uyo on Tuesday

The Super Eagles will begin preparations for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double-header against Tanzania with their first training session scheduled for Tuesday afternoon in Uyo.

The team’s camp officially opened on Sunday, November 8, with 23 invited players expected to arrive in Nigeria on Monday ahead of the first training session.

The technical crew will use the session to assess the players and begin preparations for the two important matches against Tanzania.

The first leg will take place on Friday, November 13, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, while the return leg is scheduled for November 17 in Tanzania.

The double-header is important for Nigeria as the Super Eagles aim to strengthen their position in the qualifying campaign and move closer to securing a place at the 2027 AFCON finals.
