Super Eagles star a target for Palace this summer

English Premier League club Crystal Palace have reportedly joined the race to secure the signature of Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, whose contract with Leicester City is set to expire at the end of the season,

Ndidi made his move to Leicester City from Belgian side KAA Gent seven years ago and has since been a standout performer. The 27-year-old midfielder has accumulated 270 appearances for the club, boasting 16 goals and 18 assists during his tenure.

Despite being linked with a potential transfer to Manchester United before last season, Ndidi’s progress was hindered by recurrent injuries, dampening talks of a move away.

However, this season has seen Ndidi return to top form, playing a pivotal role in Leicester City’s campaign with 29 appearances in the English Championship. Under coach Enzo Maresca, Ndidi has demonstrated versatility by adapting to various midfield roles.

With his contract nearing its end, Ndidi has yet to reach an extension agreement with Leicester City, leaving him free to explore other options at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Among the potential suitors eyeing Ndidi’s services are Sevilla, Getafe, West Ham, Everton, Galatasaray, and Fenerbahce. Adding to the mix, recent reports from CaughtOffside suggest that Crystal Palace has emerged as another contender in the race for Ndidi’s signature.

As Ndidi contemplates his next move, securing regular first-team football is likely to be a key consideration. Having spent the last seven years in England, Ndidi may lean towards a move to a Premier League club during the summer transfer window.
