Super Eagles Star Samuel Chukwueze Attends Junior Adamu Scouting Tournament Grand Finale In Uyo
Super Eagles and AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze made a surprise appearance at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 20, 2025, to show his support for the Junior Adamu Scouting Tournament currently taking place at the stadium’s Practice Pitch.
The tournament, powered by SC Freiburg forward Junior Adamu Chukwubuike, is being held in collaboration with Transformers Sports Group and 360 Sports, in partnership with the Akwa Ibom State Football Association. The event kicked off on Thursday, June 19, and is set to conclude today after two days of intense football action.
Samuel Chukwueze’s visit was warmly received by players, scouts, and fans, with many young talents inspired by the presence of the Super Eagles star, who currently plays in Italy’s Serie A for AC Milan.
Chukwubuike Junior Adamu, born on 6 June 2001 in Nigeria, is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg. Though born in Nigeria, he represents Austria at the international level.
The tournament aims to discover and promote young football talents from across Nigeria, giving them a chance to be seen by local and international scouts.
Organisers say they are committed to continuing such platforms that bridge the gap between grassroots football and professional opportunities.
