As their friendly against Japan ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup edges closer, Nigeria’s Super Falcons were in action all over the world for their various clubs.

The capital city side won the match 2-0 to continue their impressive start to the season. The 21-year-old will join the rest of the Super Falcons in Japan for the friendly.

Super Falcons striker Ifeoma Onumonu scored her first goal since May for her club Gotham FC in the NWSL. The striker found the net in a 3-3 draw to help her side end a 12-match losing run.

Real Betis striker Rinsola Babajide scored her first goal of the La Liga Iberdrola season as her Real Betis side fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Granadilla Tenerife. The 24-year-old will be hopeful of making the national team’s squad to New Zealand.

In the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage draws that was conducted today, Asisat Oshoala’s FC Barcelona Femeni will lock horns with Christy Ucheibe’s SL Benfica in Group D of the competition.
