Super Falcons Star Kanu Scores Hat-trick For Tigre UANL In Mexican League

Super Falcons striker Uchenna Kanu opened the new season with a stunning hat-trick for her club Tigres UANL in a 6-0 win over Atlas in the Mexican Women’s League on Tuesday.

Kanu also recorded an assist in the encounter to cap a brilliant start to the 2022-23 season.

She opened the scoring in the 50th minute, before adding the second goal nine minutes later.

Kanu put the icing on the cake with a late goal in the 91st minute.

Mia Fishel scored a brace and Jacquie Ovalle added the other goal to complete the victory.

Tigre UANL won the Mexican Women’s League last season they will be willing to defend it again after their impressive start to the new season.

Kanu made her Super Falcons debut in a 2-1 loss to Canada in a friendly match in 2019.

She is expected to be part of the squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in the summer.
