Super Falcons to earn $4m if they win 2019 World Cup

Nine-time African champions Super Falcons of Nigeria will earn a prize money of $4 million (about 1.4 billion Naira) should they win the forthcoming Women’s World Cup in France.

Nigeria are drawn against hosts France, Korea Republic and Norway in the first round of the World Cup, which kicks off in June.

The best performance by Nigeria at the Women’s World Cup was quarterfinal.

They crashed out in the first round of the 2015 World Cup.

The breakdown of various prize monies are as follow:

Winners – $4 million
Runners-up – $2.6 million
3rd place – $2 million
4th place – $1.6 million
5th – 8th – $1.45 million
9th-16th – $1 million
17th -24th – $750,000
