Super Oluehi, Ebi make the list as Oshoala misses out on CAF Best XI of 2018 AWCON tournament

There was no spot for the reigning African women player of the year, Asisat Oshoala but super Tochukwu Oluehi and Onome Ebi made the 2018 AWCON 2018 best XI.

Tochukwu Oluehi whose heroics ensured the Super Falcons win their 9th AWCON title in Accra on Saturday was name the goal.

The Super Falcons goalie conceded just one goal in the five games she was in goal for the champions and he saves during the penalty shootout in the semi and final were crucial to the teams success.

Dependable Onome Ebi was included in the back four, her role in the heart of Falcons’ defence gave her a spot in the central defence.

Asisat Oshoala who made the list of the best XI after the group stages games failed to make the final cut.

Her performances in the semi and the penalty she missed in the final didn’t her course but she made the substitute bench alongside Francesca Ordega.
