Former Golden Eaglets forward Edidiong Ezekiel’s third Remo Stars goal saved the Sky Blues from Semi Final defeat to Kwara United at the ongoing ValueJet Pre-season tournament .

Edidiong scored in the final seconds of the game to level scores at 1-1 and send the game to the lottery of the penalty shootouts at the Remo Stars Stadium , Ikenne Ogun State on Thursday 1st September 2022 .

Kwara United FC were cruising into the final before Edidiong Ezekiel slammed home from inside the box with the last action of regulation time to the delight of the Sky Blue Supporters .

Remo Stars eventually triumphed 4-2 in the ensuing shootouts to set up a final against Lagos based Smart City .

Coach Daniel Ogunmudede and his Remo Stars charges will be well motivated to clinch the maiden edition of the ValueJet Pre-season tournament which also featured the likes of Rivers United and Plateau United , etc .

The Sky Blues are reaping bountifully from it’s transfer business with Edidiong Ezekiel and Adams Olamilekan posting impressive performances at the Pre-season tournament .

After the Final game, Remo Stars will turn attention to the Upcoming CAF Confederation Cup tie vs ASFAR FC of Morroco . A maiden Continental appearance for the club following it’s 3rd place finish in the NPFL last season .
