Taiwo Awoniyi scores again to keep Mouscron winning streak since his arrival

Nigerian striker, Taiwo Awoniyi continues his goal-scoring form for Royal Excel Mouscron as he found the back of the net in his side’s 3-0 home win against Cercle Brugge in a Belgian top-flight game on Sunday.

The Liverpool loanee continued to bully his way into the scoring sheet since he joined Mouscron on loan this January. Just as he did in the past games, he practically created his goal.

Awoniyi opened the scoring for Mouscron in the 46th minute after the first half ended in a goalless draw. Awoniyi received a pass on the edge of the box on the left flank, cut in with his left leaving his marker for dead before firing home with his right foot.

Selim Amallah in the 50th minute and Frantzdy Pierrot in the 90th minute scored the 2nd and 3rd goals respectively to complete the 3-0 rout of Cercle Brugge at Stade Le Canonnier.

Awoniy has now scored 4 goals in the five games he has played for Royal Excel Mouscron. Interestingly, since he joined Mouscron, they have won all their five league games.
