Nigerian Striker Taiwo Awoniyi and his English Premier League side Nottingham Forest hopes of a successful season will be boosted by the signing of former Manchester United and England International Jesse Lingard .
Free agent Jesse Lingard who was courted by West Ham, Nottingham Forest and three other English Premier League sides today completed his move to Nottingham Forest who according to the Guardian met his wage demands .
Lingard who was sparingly used at Manchester United in his final season was widely expected to join West Ham where he had previously enjoyed a loan spell in the 2020/2021 season but has opted to join Taiwo Awoniyi, Dean Henderson as part of Forest’s new recruits ahead of the new season.
Survival will be key on the agenda for Taiwo Awoniyi and Nottingham Forest but with the experience and talent coming through with the transfers, Nottingham Forest may as well push for a European spot when the season gets underway in less than a fortnight.
