Team Nigeria Tokyo medallists Oborodudu and Brume gets cash reward
Team Nigeria medallists at the ongoing Olympics Game in Tokyo, Japan have received cash boost after their successful campaigns.
Ese Brume opened the medal gate for team Nigeria with her Bronze medal in Long Jump and Blessing Oborududu added the haul with a silver in Weightlifting.
The duo were today rewarded in Tokyo for their exploits during a brief ceremony by the Nigerian delegation led by the sports minister Mr. Sunday Dare.
Blessing Oborududu was reportedly handed $10,000 cash while Ese Brume was given $7,500 for placing third.
According to report from Tokyo, any Nigerian athlete who wins a GOLD medal in their event, will receive a cash prize of $15,000. While a Silver medal gets 10,000 and Bronze $7,500.
