Terem Moffi bags 11th French Ligue 1 goal of the season as Nice hold Marseille

Nigerian striker Terem Moffi scored for the 11th time in the current Ligue 1 campaign. However his team OGC Nice were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Marseille in a thrilling encounter on Wednesday night.

Moffi’s impressive form has seen him score four goals in his last five matches for OGC Nice.

After breaking the deadlock 13 minutes into the game, Moffi gave Nice an early lead against their fierce rivals.

Despite Marseille being reduced to 10 men, Nice couldn’t fully capitalize on their numerical advantage, allowing Marseille to claw back and secure a point after a 2-2.

The 24-year-old striker has been a standout performer since joining Nice from Lorient last summer, tallying 11 goals in 21 Ligue 1 starts this season. His predatory instincts and overall contribution on the field have made him a sought-after talent in the league.

As Moffi’s stellar performances continue to attract attention, there is speculation about potential interest from clubs across Europe.

OGC Nice may face challenges in retaining their prized asset if Moffi maintains his prolific form in the remaining fixtures.

For now, Moffi and Nice will focus on securing a top-six finish and possibly qualify for European competition.
