Terem Moffi’s Return Date Revealed: When Will He Be Back in Action?

OGC Nice head coach Franck Haise has confirmed that Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi is nearing full fitness but will likely need more time before making his much-anticipated return to action.

Moffi has been sidelined since July 2024 due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, which required surgery. Since then, he has been focused on his recovery. In February, reports from Soccernet.ng indicated that the 25-year-old forward was close to resuming training. Moffi has indeed returned to the pitch, actively participating in team sessions.

However, despite his progress, Haise has stated that Moffi will need additional time to reach peak fitness. “He may need a bit more time, but it is encouraging,” Haise said, according to GFFN.

When Will Terem Moffi Play Again?

While Moffi has returned to full training with Nice, his official return to match action hinges on regaining full fitness. The striker has had limited training and game time during his recovery, which has affected his sharpness. Once he regains his previous level of fitness and sharpness, he should be ready to rejoin the squad for competitive action.

The timing of his return is particularly challenging as Nice are in excellent form, having won their last five Ligue 1 games. With the team performing so well, Moffi may find it difficult to immediately break into the starting lineup.

Fans and coaches alike will be eager to see when Moffi will make his return to competitive football, but for now, it’s clear that a little more patience will be required.
