The Best Golf Tech Improving the Game in 2019

Many people have opinions on whether technology improves sports or not. Both in professional and amateur sports, technology can be used in a variety of different ways to improve play, although it can perhaps sometimes hinder it. In some sports, the rules have had to keep up with technology to ensure that no player has an unfair advantage over others. Golf is one of the sports where many amateur players will choose to use technology to help them improve their game, and some technologies can be useful in professional play too. Here are some of the top ways people have been using tech in 2019 to make golf more exciting.

High-tech Balls and Clubs

Both golf clubs and balls have changed a lot in the last couple of decades. Golf clubs have changed in their weight, aerodynamics, materials and shape to become better to use and produce better results. Golf balls have changed too, with balls made from up to five pieces. The more pieces the ball has, the more complex it is and the further the distance the golfer can get from it. One-piece balls are ideal for beginners, but more experienced and professional golfers are more likely to use balls made from more pieces.

Range Finders

A range finder is designed to help golfers be more precise. It is a device that uses laser technology to help golfers work out how far away they are from their target. When using  a range finder, a golfer can get the information that they need to choose the right club. It doesn’t remove the need to swing properly or in the right direction, but it can help to make things easier. Some can measure distances up to one-tenth of a yard. It’s also possible to combine range finders with GPS devices, offering two useful gadgets in one.

Golf Watches

Sports watches are popular in a range of sports, but golf watches can offer features that are designed especially for playing the game. When wearing a golf watch, players can receive information about the courses that they play. Many watches allow players to get the information that they need about thousands of courses, such as the range of watches by Garmin. They also often feature GPS, helping players to track their way around a course and keep a record of their activities. With excellent battery power on some watches, golfers can wear them for a whole day.

Game Analyzers

Game analyzers offer excellent tools for tracking performance and using the data to improve game play. They come with sensors or tracking devices to attach to golf clubs so that data can be collected on every movement. They include options such as the Game Golf Live Tracking system, which attaches to a club for real-time shot tracking, and the Arccos Golf 360, which features 14 ultralight sensors that attach to the club and provide data via GPS 2.0.

Technology will continue to be used in the game, both by professionals and amateur players. There are sure to be more developments in golf tech in the future.
