Tinubu set for Manchester City transfer
18-year old Anglo-Nigerian Midfielder Sam Ayomide Tinubu is set to complete a transfer to Manchester City from England League One side Stevenage.
As reported by ALLNIGERIASOCCER, Tinubu will join the UEFA Champions League winners as a free agent after turning down a new contract at Stevenage.
Tottenham Hotspurs and Nottingham Forest are the other clubs who were interested in signing Sam Tinubu whose versatility heralds his talent.
In the finances, Stevenage will receive a compensation for a player that rose from their academy to become the youngest-ever player to play for the club in the Football League when he made his senior debut Vs Oldham Athletic on October 16, 2021 aged of 17 years and 18 days.
The left-footed central defender was close to joining Spurs in February but Stevenage were holding up for a 300k fee in exchange but will now be without power to halt a move to City.
Tinubu is expected to sign his Manchester City contract after the holidays with a loan-out mooted for the 2023/2024 season.
