Tobi Amusan zooms to win, sets new record at Silesia Diamond League

Tobi Amusan continued her preparation for the World Championships with an impressive victory at the Silesia Diamond League event, setting a new Meet Record.

Struggling with knee and hamstring injuries, Amusan was in action against a strong field at the meet, and she was keen to get back on track ahead of the World Championships in Budapest.

Amusan won the race in a time of 12.34s in a photo-finish ahead of American duo of Kendra Harrison (12.35s) and Nia Ali (12.38s). Tobi Express, as she is fondly known, beat her previous Season Best set at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet weeks ago, and also set a new Meet Record. She will continue her preparation for the 2023 World Championships due to take place in Budapest.
