Toni Payne finally gets chance to dump USA for Nigeria

Antionette Oyedupe Payne (Toni Payne) has been given the opportunity to officially dump USA for Nigeria.

Toni Payne who had previously played for USA U17 and Olympic team has now finally been given the chance to wear the green of Nigeria.

Toni Payne who is in top form for Spanish club Sevilla will get the chance to impress Falcons’ coach Thomas Dennerby ahead of the his final World Cup squad.

She will be part of the team when they first play a first division club, UMF Selfoss today before the potentially –explosive encounter with the Canadians on Monday, 8th April. The matches will hold in the city of Murcia.

The nine-time African champions are also scheduled to play in the WAFU B tournament in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, next month.

They will then set up a final World Cup training camp in Austria, before they fly out to France in June for the World Cup.
