Torino blocks Ola Aina’s West Ham move

Italian Serie A side Torino have rejected a £6.9m offer from West Ham United FC for Nigerian defender Ola Aina .

The Hammers have endured a tough start to the English Premier League season and want Ola Aina to bolster their defense line but Torino are holding up for more money .

Despite interest from West Ham, Ola Aina starred for Torino in the 3-1 loss at Atalanta . A night to forget it was for the Nigerian who will welcome the prospect of EPL return .

According to SkySports , West Ham will not increase their offer for the left back and are already exploring other options on transfer deadline day.

Former Fulham defender Aina also attracted interest from Leeds United earlier in the transfer window as he looked for a move away from the Italian Serie A side .

Aina complained of limited playing time at Torino following his participation at the 2021 AFCON with Nigeria a comment that alerted prospective suitors including West Ham .

Torino look set to keep the Nigerian full back but risk losing him for free next summer when his current deal expires .
