Tosin Omoyele scores on debut for CS Constantine in CAF Confederation Cup

Tosin Omoyele made an impressive start to his career at CS Constantine, scoring on his debut to help secure a 2-0 victory over Police FC of Rwanda in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg.

The match took place at the Chahid Hamlaoui Stadium, Algeria, and saw Omoyele come off the bench to make a significant impact.

Omoyele entered the game in the second half and found the net in the 79th minute. Positioned inside the 18-yard box, he coolly tapped in a well-placed pass from the left side of the attack, sending the home supporters into a frenzy.

Earlier, CS Constantine took the lead just before halftime. In the 45th minute, Dib converted a penalty to put the Algerian side ahead. This goal set the stage for a dominant performance in the second half, culminating in Omoyele’s debut goal.

The Nigerian international recently joined CS Constantine from USM Khenchela on a free transfer last month. His debut goal not only marked a personal milestone but also provided a crucial advantage for his team in the two-legged tie.

The return leg is scheduled to take place in Rwanda at the Kigali Pelé Stadium on August 24. CS Constantine will look to build on their first-leg advantage and secure their progression in the CAF Confederation Cup.
